It’s been a long time since I last visited Mien San. Before foodie folks started hankering for Japanese ramen bowls, Taiwanese Beef Noodles had the reign over steaming hot bowls, especially for a lot of Fil-Chinese folks. I revisited an old but reliable noodle house in Gilmore-Santolan area since my friend Ace’s first love is really beef noodles prior to conversion to ramen.
Taiwan is famous for it since it is literally littered with noodle houses.

The bowl was generously filled with tender braised beef that shreds effortlessly. Tendon pieces also abound that add so much unctuous flavor and texture into the flavorful clear with a shade of brown broth. Noodles are slightly firm giving an alternate feel to every bite.
Mien San still remains consistent with their Beef Noodle bowl. Ace was a very happy camper and it was his first time to try Mien San.
