Boho Festival @ Bonifacio Global City and Flippish.com’s New Show

April 23, 2010 –Bubba and I hopped over Bonifacio Global City that Friday night.  Other than checking out the Boho Festival happening in the area that weekend and support our friend Deneb’s group Planet Zips’ booth, I was also there for Kring.

Kring invited Allen and I to guest in Flippish.com’s upcoming new show to be launched in June.  The show will be called, “Go Mental.”

Go Mental will be a show about Mentalism.  That’s definitely something to watch out for.

Here are some outtakes from the brief shoot:

“Direk” in smiling action

That’s HIM

Me taping his face

Stifling a smile

Allen’s turn

Nervous laughter because we were bewildered

ONE BIG THANK YOU to Kring Elenzano for inviting me to guest on the show.  I had fun!  It was great to see “Direk” in action 🙂 *HUG*

Boho Fest

I really enjoyed The Boho Festival feasting in all forms of art interpretation.  It kinda felt like Christmas in April.  Despite the summer heat even at night, it was fascinatingly not hot that evening.  We also watched a lot of fire-dancing exhibition from the Planet Zips team.  Too bad Denny didn’t fire-dance.  I like watching him do his fire-dance moves every time we go beach travel.

With Denny! 🙂

Food Find: Spamu

Bubba caught one interesting food find at the Boho Fest.  Spamu.  It’s basically a sandwich of spam and vinegar-ed rice wrapped with nori.

Born to Be Happy

February 1 is my favorite date of any year.  Why?  It’s my birthday! 😉

On this special date, yesterday, I turned a year younger but more learned and stronger.

As expressed in my SMS response, many many (many pacquiao) thanks for your greetings folks!!!  Super touched by the people who called, texted and messaged.  Truly appreciate being remembered on this special day.  Your well wishes warm my heart.

The planned HK trip didn’t push through so I had to retract my leaves that was set until Feb. 4.  I didn’t pay for the ticket (8K roundtrip) but I still felt a bit sad that plans have changed.  I picked myself right up though because there’s just no room for being sad when God has blessed you with another year in your life (I just hope that this year moves slower than last year.  2009 breezed by.)  On that note, the canceled HK trip only meant that I was blessed to meet the Jabbawockeez on my birthday! 😉  I was so ecstatic that as soon as the group turned their back, I couldn’t keep myself from hopping in glee in the middle of Greenbelt.  You strike out, Energizer bunny!

Wockeez, you are the rockstars of the dance floor!  😉  \m/  I heart you guys!!!

I’ve never done a birthday wish list and it crossed my mind earlier when dee boss treated me out for a birthday lunch with the team…

My birthday wish list:

  1. Dongle (Sun or Bayan)
  2. Oral B Electronic Toothbrush
  3. Bath and Body Eucalyptus Handwash -Aromatherapy line (smells soooo good!) 😉
  4. Nivea Facial Night Cream
  5. Pablo Neruda book
  6. Red Jumper Straps
  7. 100 HUGS

Yes, I’m easy to please.

Oh, and I finally got a copy of The Little Green Book by Phil Gordon!  It was a birthday gift.  Tee-hee *blush*

The best gift I received though was…

(Written note from Joyce)

I know I was still groggy waking up from sleep when you handed me this but… Joyce love, you are the rockstar in my heart! 🙂

Michael Jackson’s This Is It Docu Film

Sony Pictures reports that hundreds of show times have sold out since tickets went on sale on Sunday for “Michael Jackson: This Is It”.  It opens Oct. 28 in the US for a two-week limited run.  The movie is based on more than 100 hours of behind-the-scenes footage, featuring Jackson rehearsing a number of his songs for the late King of Pop’s planned concert series at the O2 Arena in London.

Advance shows in some markets the night before also are selling out. All 3,000 tickets for screenings at a Los Angeles cinema were snapped up in two hours, with some fans queuing to buy tickets up for nearly three days.

Sony said 30,000 tickets were sold in the first 24 hours in London, while £630,000 worth of tickets were sold in Japan within the same time period.

The film’s world gala will be in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre on the evening of October 27.

The event will kick off a series of more than 25 premieres around the globe.

Jackson died in June aged 50, just weeks before the huge string of London comeback concerts titled This Is It were due to get under way.

Sex and the City 2 to Cancel Filming?

Is it true that there’s a storm brewing in the horizon?  SJP and Kim Cattrall, both stressed on the set, still can’t get along?  Crew says filming is not anymore fun and is always awkward.

According to OK! magazine, the feud between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall isn’t over, and is actually threatening to derail production on the new movie.

A source told the mag: “While the cast is all smiles on the outside, the level of dislike is unbelievable. No-one is having a good time on this shoot.”

On top of this, Sarah Jessica Parker seems to be struggling to balance her role as Carrie Bradshaw with her duties as a mother to son James and new twins Marion and Tabitha.

“The crew have taken to calling her ‘Carrie Sadshaw’. When she doesn’t have to be ‘on’ in her scenes, she looks so sad,” added the source.

Kim Cattrall is lashing out reports that she and her “Sex and the City” co-stars don’t get along on the set, but admits she doesn’t want to spend her time off the set with them.

The actress has been quoted by marieclaire.co.uk as saying, “Do you get along with your colleagues all the time? If you’re spending 18 hours a day at work, the last thing you want to do is go and have a drink with the people who you just spend the day with. You just need to get away.”

Cattrall, 51, also defended her action of why she asked for a bigger paycheck in the upcoming movie of the hit HBO TV show. She admitted she complained about the difference in wages between the show’s main star Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of the girls, but she insisted she deserves a better offer, as co-stars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon also do.

She said, “I never expected to be paid what Sarah was being paid. But I felt that the offer was not worthy of what the three of us had contributed. And I spoke up about it. I feel like I stuck my neck out. I fought. I don’t ever want to be on a set where I feel undervalued.”

Is there going to be a flashback scene?  That should be fun.

New Line Cinema’s Sex and The City 2 Began Filming in New York

Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda take another bite out of The Big Apple.

TMZ has been showing a lot of spoilers on their show.  For instance, their paparazzi hounded Kim Cattrall wearing a wedding gown.

“Sex and the City 2,” the sequel to the 2008 summer blockbuster, has begun principal photography in—where else?—New York City.  Returning in their starring roles as the four great friends are Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.  “It’s a great privilege to be spending time again with this beloved cast and crew and to be filming in New York City,” says Parker.  “We look forward to the next few months of this adventure.”

Of course, where would these women be without their men?  Also back for the much-anticipated sequel are Chris Noth as Mr. Big, David Eigenberg as Steve, Evan Handler as Harry, Jason Lewis as Smith, Mario Cantone as Anthony and Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch.

“Sex and the City 2” also reunites the original creative team from the series and the first feature.  Michael Patrick King is once again directing from his own screenplay.  States King, “We are thrilled to have the luxury to continue to tell the story of these four iconic women characters: Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha.  We will do our best to entertain the loyal fans who were so supportive of the first movie.”

King is also producing with John Melfi, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Darren Star.  The executive producers are Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener and Marcus Viscidi.  Also returning will be director of photography John Thomas, production designer Jeremy Conway, composer Aaron Zigman and costume designer Patricia Field.

Set to be released in theaters June next year, “Sex and the City 2” is the follow-up to the first film, which pulled in more than $415 million worldwide.  The original film was inspired by the phenomenally popular, award-winning HBO series based on the writings of Candace Bushnell.

The majority of filming will take place in and around the city of New York.

New Line Cinema presents “Sex and the City 2.”  Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, will be distributing the film worldwide.

I hope Carrie’s fashion fares better this time around.  The rest of the group had better styling than Carrie in the first installment.
