American singer-songwriter Jason Thomas Mraz is coming to Manila for a concert on October 30, 2011. I am almost missing this but I’m only flying out to Hong Kong the next day so I can still catch this 34-year old Grammy winner!
Concert is entitled Jason Mraz: Special Acoustic Evening with Toca Rivera and tickets are available through Ticketnet.
Mr. AZ will be here and all I can say is, “I’m Yours!” All yours baby! 🙂
Mraz’s international breakthrough came with the release of the single “I’m Yours” from the album We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things. The single peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Mraz his first top ten single.

***UPDATE*** Timbaland concert will supposedly start at 930 PM tonight to make way for Earth Hour.
Rumor has it that Timbaland will have a concert in Manila and his special guest is supposedly Justin Timberlake!!! I love Timbaland but shouldn’t it be the other way around –a JT concert in Manila featuring Timbaland? At any rate, I don’t mind who’s on the spotlight but I would love to see both Justin Timberlake and Timbaland in one show -it would be one sizzling performance!!!
U92 is launching, which is the push behind the concert of Timbaland who is supposedly coming to Manila together with Jojo and JT. I’m so excited to get confirmation on this soon. My only gripe is, I wish it was going to be held in Araneta Coliseum.

February 1 is my favorite date of any year. Why? It’s my birthday! 😉
On this special date, yesterday, I turned a year younger but more learned and stronger.
As expressed in my SMS response, many many (many pacquiao) thanks for your greetings folks!!! Super touched by the people who called, texted and messaged. Truly appreciate being remembered on this special day. Your well wishes warm my heart.
The planned HK trip didn’t push through so I had to retract my leaves that was set until Feb. 4. I didn’t pay for the ticket (8K roundtrip) but I still felt a bit sad that plans have changed. I picked myself right up though because there’s just no room for being sad when God has blessed you with another year in your life (I just hope that this year moves slower than last year. 2009 breezed by.) On that note, the canceled HK trip only meant that I was blessed to meet the Jabbawockeez on my birthday! 😉 I was so ecstatic that as soon as the group turned their back, I couldn’t keep myself from hopping in glee in the middle of Greenbelt. You strike out, Energizer bunny!
Wockeez, you are the rockstars of the dance floor! 😉 \m/ I heart you guys!!!
I’ve never done a birthday wish list and it crossed my mind earlier when dee boss treated me out for a birthday lunch with the team…
My birthday wish list:
Yes, I’m easy to please.
Oh, and I finally got a copy of The Little Green Book by Phil Gordon! It was a birthday gift. Tee-hee *blush*
The best gift I received though was…
(Written note from Joyce)
I know I was still groggy waking up from sleep when you handed me this but… Joyce love, you are the rockstar in my heart! 🙂

Johnny Depp’s charismatic lead performance can make you fall in love with a well-dressed bank robber and America’s most wanted. This gangster flick had the right blend of action scenes, suspense and drama. There were only enough tablespoons of bloody scenes to feel the realism of the movie and right amount of nervous tension without overly doing the sound effects.
John Dillinger: I was raised on a farm in Morrisville, Indiana. My mama ran out on us when I was three, my daddy beat the hell out of me cause he didn’t know no better way to raise me. I like baseball, movies, good clothes, fast cars, whiskey, and you… what else you need to know?
Billie Frechette: Why are you in such a hurry?
John Dillinger: Because when you’re looking at what I’m looking, you’d be in a hurry too.
John Dillinger: They ain’t tough enough, smart enough or fast enough. I can hit any bank I want, any time. They got to be at every bank, all the time.
John Dillinger: [nodding at money on a table] That’s your money, mister?
Bank Teller: [nervously] Yes.
John Dillinger: We’re here for the bank’s money, not yours. Put it away.
Melvin Purvis: What keeps you up nights, Mr. Dillinger?
John Dillinger: Coffee.
John Dillinger: We’re having too good a time today. We ain’t thinking about tomorrow.
John Dillinger: Well if it isn’t the man who shot Pretty-Boy Floyd. Good thing ’cause he sure wasn’t Whiz-Kid Floyd.
John Dillinger: [Approaching group of police officers] What’s the score?
[last lines]
Billie Frechette: They say you’re the man who shot him.
Charles Winstead: That’s right. One of ’em.
Billie Frechette: So why are you coming to see me? To see the damage you done?
Charles Winstead: No. I came here because he asked me to. When he went down, he said somethin’. I put my ear next to his mouth, and what I think what he said was this.

2. The Script Live in Manila Concert
On March 31, 2013, The Script returns to Manila as part of their #3 World Tour at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Midas Promotions brings back one of the most loved bands in the world composed of the trio, Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power.
I also watched the last Script concert in Manila and it was with CW. We both decided to give the Bleachers, also known as General Admission section, a try and experience a concert from that perspective (other than ticket prices are expensive and the seating area we like are already almost sold out). Lo and behold, it was one of the most fun concerts we’ve experienced. We were just chill and we could sing out loud without a care in the world. Money well spent.
