May 1 and 13, 2013 declared Philippine Holidays

 

Malacanang has issued Proclamation No. 459 declaring May 1, 2013 as a regular holiday to celebrate “Labor Day.”

 

In this regard, employees who are assigned to work on this day will be given premium pay in accordance with their company’s existing policies.

May 13 is Election Day and to encourage people to exercise their right to vote, this is also declared as a special non-working holiday to give opportunity for folks to cast their ballots and be part of building this nation by putting honest and deserving people in government seats.
