Blog Na Pinoy Directory

Last Saturday morning, Bubba and I were over Bel-Air for the Blog Na Pinoy shoot –which will become a site for the full directory of Philippine blogs.  This is a budding project of Mike Sy Yu.  There’s more in store when the site is finally completed, which excites a lot of us.

Blog na Pinoy is a Philippine Blog directory site to feature Filipino bloggers at their strengths.  This site’s objective is to help user navigate and to easily choose their desired blogcheck out more details at www.blognapinoy.com

Many thanks to Juned and Arpee for inviting me to be part of this!  Batch 2 shoot included Bambi (who did our make-up, thanks girl!), Noreen, Joy, Fritz, Sha and Karla.  Batch 1 comprised of Juned, Arpee and Ryan for their food blogs.

I couldn’t decide whether to be put under Food or Lifestyle category.  I was tempted to go Food category, which was the initial plan anyway, because the Between Bites site is 70% heavy on food entries.  Since my blog also has non-food entries and is also heavy on travel, I went for Lifestyle.

Thanks to Ryan for these behind-the-scene (BTS) photos:

Blue Moon Eclipse by Fritz Tentativa

There is something alluring about the moon that draws me to it.  Last night, I was struck in awe when I saw several photos of the moon taken by Fritz.  What got me gaping is the fact that he captured this using only a point and shoot camera, his Lumix ZS3 (or TZ7).  Isn’t Lumix the best? 😉

The image was not post-processed in any way –except for cropping and resizing.  Amazing how the camera captured the details.

Fritz used the full zoom, 12x optical zoom to capture this at manual preset (ISO set at automatic and focusing was set to “point”).

He tweaked the following with the dial on “normal picture” mode (limited manual):

ISO Sensitivity: AutoAF: 1-point

Pre-AF: Continuous AF

Metering Mode: Spot

Intelligent Exposure: On

Stabilizer: Mode 2

Min. Shutter Speed: 1/60

I want a big frame of this in my room.  So arresting.
