My friend Vina is into Underwater Hockey and she invited me last year to try it out.
Underwater Hockey also known as Octopush, is a non-contact sport where two teams compete to maneuver a puck across the bottom of a swimming pool into the team’s goals. The goals are three meters in width and lay at the opposite ends of the playing area. The UH players wear a gear that includes a diving mask, fins, snorkel, mouthguard and gloves to be able to play.
Another important tool in this sport is the hockey stick, which is quite shorter than the normal hockey stick. The puck is usually the same size as the ice hockey puck.
I am so egg-cited to try it out.
Get a lot of PUCK this summer! There’s a free trial session for beginners at the Manila Polo Club on March 7 and 14, 1-5 PM.
