Declared 2014 Philippine Holidays, Regular and Special Non-Working

We all just got off a pretty long Christmas holiday break last December but it’s never enough is it?  I love it when Christmas falls on either Wednesday or Thursday.  It naturally calculates into stretching the holiday break since December 24 and/or December 26 work gets called off too since Christmas is midweek.

 

We are back to the daily grind today but couldn’t help think of the next holiday break.  Are we in the same strand of thought?  I’m so itching to travel!  I know the Lord will bless me with a travel buddy this year!  <3  I’ve listed below all the declared 2014 holidays in the Philippines for us to anticipate and mark in our calendars.

April 17, Thursday – Maundy Thursday

April 18, Friday – Good Friday

May 1, Thursday – Labor Day

June 12, Thursday – Independence Day

August 25, Monday – National Heroes Day

November 30, Sunday – Bonifacio Day

December 25, Thursday – Christmas Day

December 30, Tuesday – Rizal Day

Special Non-Working Days for 2014

January 31, Friday – Chinese New Year

April 19, Saturday – Black Saturday

August 21, Thursday – Ninoy Aquino Day

November 1, Saturday – All Saints’ Day

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda declared

December 26, Friday

December 31, Wednesday – Last Day of the Year

Special Holiday for Schools

 February 25, Tuesday – EDSA Revolution Anniversary

As for the observance of Islamic feasts Eid’l Fitr or Feast of Ramadan and Eidul Adha, Malacanang held off proclamations on declaring national holidays until such time that approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar.
