Luxury Jewelry Brand Misaki Monaco

Misaki Monaco has made its name crafting exquisitely innovative and creative interpretation of the classic pearl jewelry – breaking the conventional image that pearls are for an older demography or very one-dimensional. Others say that pearl jewelry take people’s mind off your wrinkles. Misaki Monaco’s line does more than that, its evolving style make you look and feel timeless and chicly present.

Over thirty years ago, a French photographer met a beautiful Japanese illustrator. Romance ensued when two opposite ends of the world met and befell each other. The two lovers were fond of giving presents to each other as a sign of their love. His very first gift to her remains to be the most special – a necklace of Akoya cultured pearls.

It was this moment that inspired the two to create a brand of pearl jewelries, which they named Misaki, his term of endearment for the love he’s found. In Japanese, Misaki translates to beautiful flower, a fitting name for a line of jewelry that captures love and elegance.

The two frequently shuttled back and forth France and Japan and with all the traveling, it’s the airports where they initially sold pearl jewelries and through various airlines. Years and years of creating timeless pieces, Misaki Monaco has become one of the most exciting jewelry brands in the world.

Repertory Philippines features Childrens’ Play This 2016

Repertory Philippines, the premier producer of thought-provoking and entertaining straight plays and musicals, is launching its Theater for Young Audiences program for 2016, with child-friendly performances of Hansel and Gretel.

“Our children’s musicals are some of our most popular plays, and we enjoy staging performances for them,” shares Repertory’s artistic director Joy Virata. “The stage is a wonderful place for children to immerse themselves in with fantastic stories and wonderful characters.”

From August 13 to December 15, 2016, Repertory will stage Hansel and Gretel, adapted from the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, and adapted into opera by German composer Engelbert Humperdinck. The story follows two hungry children sent to the woods by their mother to find strawberries, and are lured into a gingerbread house owned by a wicked witch. It’s a story that many of us grew up with, and with the adaptation and direction by Joy Virata, she promises to transform the fantastic tale for a new generation to enjoy.

Bituin Escalante, Carla Guevara Laforteza, Ring Antonio, and Christine Flores will alternately play the witch, while Cara Barredo, Sweet Buchanan, and Christine Flores will alternately play the Dawn Fairy. The Hansel role will be divided between Joshua Nubla, Allen Orolfo, Mari Yapjoco, Tori Cortez and Nathan Flores, while Gretel will be portrayed by Ella Gonzalez, Ashlee Factor, Michelle Cornejo, and Rayne Cortez.

Other roles are the mother, essayed by Natalie Everett, Ayam Eckstein, and Buchanan; the father will be portrayed by Arnel Carrion, Hans Eckstein, Raymund Concepcion, and Raul Montesa; and the Sandman will  be portrayed by Chino Veguillas, Vien Alen King, and Edu Briones.

Repertory’s Theater for Young Audineces, (RTYA) began in 1992 when Virata noticed that children would wait in the lobby for their parents to finish watching a play. She decided to create a show for them, and debuted with a short and simple version of Sleeping Beauty. It went on to become the biggest box office hit in Repertory history.

Since then, the company has produced children’s theater every year, in line with its mission of producing live theater that is excellent, resilient, and entertaining. Most importantly, it aims to make theater more accessible to Filipino audiences, especially children.

“We want children to grow up with the appreciation that theater can be delightful,” ends Virata. “Compared to films, stage plays have a sense of immediacy and intimacy that will draw the viewer in and make them part of the story. This would create an enjoyable experience for imaginative kids.”

APEC Traffic Advisory in Metro Manila

Due to the APEC event this week please be advised of the below mentioned traffic disruptions:

Traffic

Aside from the closure of Roxas Blvd, travelers, residents and businesses can expect widespread disruption and delays along all major thoroughfares and at all major transportation hubs across Metro Manila. Most of the security measures and changes in traffic patterns will be concentrated in the cities of Pasay, Paranaque and Manila.

From November 15-20, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will implement a “stop-and-go” scheme for official motorcades, which essentially means that all traffic will come to a halt until the VIPs pass. This scheme applies to parts of EDSA, Roxas Blvd, Skyway and SLEX, as well as roads around Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The MMDA has announced the following traffic schemes for the week of the event:

  • The innermost lanes of EDSA in each direction – two northbound and two southbound – will be reserved for APEC delegates. These APEC lanes extend from Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City to the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
  • The southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard will also be reserved for APEC dignitaries, while one of the northbound lanes will become a two-way thoroughfare for other motorists.
  • Roads surrounding PICC will be closed, including Bukaneg St, Vicente Sotto St., Buendia Ext, M. Jalandoni St. and J.W. Diokno Blvd Bridge.

Officials at Manila International Airport Authority say travelers can expect a considerable number of flight cancellations of domestic and international flights during APEC. The tightest security of course will be at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the adjacent Villamor Airbase. No-fly zones will be in effect from November 17-20 across the city, particularly airspace in the vicinity of NAIA and PICC.

September 8, 2015 Declared as Special Non-Working Holiday in Batangas City

Malacanang has issued Proclamation No. 1112 declaring September 8, 2015, Tuesday, as Special Non-Working Day in the Province of Batangas as it celebrates its annual Taal Lake Festival.

August 2015 Philippine Holidays and August 19, 2015 Quezon City Day Non-working Holiday

Other than December or the Christmas season and the Holy Week break, August is one of the most anticipated months of the year because it has the most number of non-working holidays in a month. In a few days, August begins and I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. We do say that every year eh? We just tend to get busier and busier. That’s why it’s so important to slow down and quiet down the spirit. The perfect time to do that is during the holidays that come our way. I love maximizing the no-work days, to forget about earning a living and just get right down to “living.”

Since August 20 will be sandwiched between August 19 and August 21 holidays, most of us who work in Quezon City (yea, I’m now a QC baby. I miss the Ortigas CBD!) have filed a leave already for Thursday so we can have a full 5-day long weekend. Finally, a reverse! 2 days to work and 5 days to just breathe and LIVE and LOVE the life you have made for yourself. It’s also TIME to PAUSE and really dedicate prayer time to thank God for His protective and encouraging love that covers us each day.

Crown Asia: 20 Years of Secured and Quality Real Estate Investment

People long to be home. Home is where the heart is. You are truly home when you love where you have built a home filled with love and comfort living.

No matter how much time we spend on the road, at work or elsewhere, home is where we should feel safe, secure, at ease, and relaxed. There are several options when purchasing a residential property. You can opt to live in a traditional single-family home, a condo unit, a townhouse or a duplex building with two to four units. Have you thought of your homeownership goals?

Last April 9, 2015, Crown Asia’s MidRise Building Group unveiled at The Blue Leaf Pavilion its two newest condominium developments, Presidio Heights in Sucat, Muntinlupa and The Courtyard Pacific Residences in Taguig City.

Launched in 1995, Crown Asia comes from the same management and proprietary group as the country’s largest homebuilder, Vista Land. We all know Vista Land’s expertise in building designed homes for rising professionals and young families. They have evolved to birthing mid-rise buildings within burgeoning areas in the South, Taguig and Tagaytay.

“Crown Asia has a three-pronged approach as far as residential housing is concerned. We have three product lines: mid-rise buildings, high-rise buildings, and inner city house and lot projects. We have a wide array of projects to meet different lifestyles.

On our 20th year in the real estate industry, as a major key player, we willcontinue to be the driving force in providing winning real estate investments with our unique and world-class projects that have high appreciation value, lease back opportunity and will help in boosting economic growth with our 60-hectare exclusive, master planned community at Lakefront and newly launched mid-rise buildings: Presidio Heights at Sucat, Muntinlupa, the Courtyard at Pacific Residences in Taguig, and Pine Suites at Philippines’ leisure capital, Tagaytay. These are three ambitious projects by Crown Asia as we celebrate our 20th year in the business,” Crown Asia COO Sheila Kristine Sarinas said.

Presidio Heights

Presidio Heights located on a sprawling 7-hectare land area will be within the area of Vista Land’s Lakefront, an exclusive 60-hectare community that is primed for investment having multiple commercial developments, office spaces and geared to building BPO centers and technology hubs. Snuggled beside the scenic and calming Laguna de Bay, this huge development caters to every lifestyle need and diverse socio-economic brackets. While Lakefront offers affordable housing options from house and lot to mid-rise buildings and high rise properties, Presidio Heights boasts of residential and mixed-use structures comprising of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units designed for single young professionals and entrepreneurs and / or young families.

Presidio offers luxurious amenities from a bi-level clubhouse that lodges a function hall, club room, fitness center and gym to an amenity area with children’s playground and a free-form pool surrounded by palm trees. The best part of it is, it has a barbecue pit!!! What better way to enjoy the outdoors than lounge and have a great barbecue party with your friends or family.

Catch the tranquil view of peaceful Laguna Lake and breathe in the sight of the vast Sierra Mountains which all add to the charming and serene appeal of Presidio. Overall, Presidio Heights offer a recuperative environment where homeowners can rightly feel at home, relaxed and secured with a well-guarded community, mingle with the neighborhood or power-up again. Certainly, this is a country club experience.
