This is my favorite and I never dine at Green Pastures without ordering this.  I’ve frequented Green Pastures in the past 3-4 months for lunch, dinner and in between dining hours and could not ignore the fact that this is in the menu.  I love their ricotta cheese that’s creamy and fresh, garnished with onion jam and finished with olive oil and chili flakes.

 

It has the right mild salty taste which is balanced beautifully by the sweetness of the onion jam on top.  Paste the roasted garlic on the crusty toast for added flavor.  The pleasant sweetness from the caramelized onions cloaks the tongue but steadied by the smooth yet at times beady ricotta cheese that has flickers of heat.

Lush and delicious, I love smearing it on the warm toast it’s served with.  I could spread it over salad, pasta or any meat and I’d still be a happy beaver.

I could eat it all day every day.
